Robert T. Rosson Jr., CFSP, CPC, co-manager of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, Miss., is the 2011-12 president-elect of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA).

Rosson has been a licensed funeral director for more than 20 years. He graduated from Northwest Mississippi Junior College in 1985 with his degree in mortuary science.

Rosson is committed to the funeral service profession on both a state and national level. He has held every office on the Mississippi Funeral Directors Association's board of directors, including terms as a district governor and president (2001-02). He is a past chairman of the Mississippi Funeral Directors Trust and remains on its board of directors.

On a national level, Rosson has served as an at-large representative and secretary on NFDA's Executive Board, and was Mississippi's representative to the association's Policy Board. Rosson has taken on many roles within his national association, including serving on the following NFDA committees and work groups: Audit, Budget, Disaster Preparedness, Spokesperson, Professional Development, Preneed, Public Relations and Pursuit of Excellence^®. Rosson is a regular participant in the association's advocacy activities and is a member of The Heritage Club.

Rosson is a member and ambassador of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and holds membership in Selected Independent Funeral Homes.
